The “In the name of the father” project is the opportunity to pay homage and give sincere thanks to an important figure in an artist’s career. It is a tribute to an artistic paternity, but at the same time, it is also an elaboration of the father myth and the achievement of an original and authentic piece of writing.

Cristiano Godano, leader of Marlene Kuntz, has chosen to thank Vladimir Nabokov with a project involving three events.

In the first act a song entitled “Nuvole” (“Clouds”) will be presented. It is an unpublished song by Cristiano Godano that can be listened to exclusively in the rooms of the gallery for about six months.
For the duration of the exhibition, the song will live in the memory of those who have lingered in the room devoted to it, savouring its poetry and lightness.

The decontextualization (the opportunity for listening to the song is offered in an art gallery) and the notion of “event” and of non-reproducibility aim to put forward a quality alternative to the kind of dissemination we have today, which is more and more saturated and undifferentiated.

At the end of the three acts and as a testimony to what has taken place, a limited edition will be produced.
